The organizers of ACT Expo are holding a free one-hour webinar on January 22 as “a small preview of the fleet-focused educational content” that will be offered at the next annual meeting in May.
ACT Expo 2014 is being held May 5-8 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif. ACT Expo is organized by GNA – Gladstein, Neandross & Associates.
The January 22 webinar, which starts at 11am PST/2pm EST, is titled “How to Integrate Alternative Fuels into Your Fleet Operations.” Rick Sikes of the City of Santa Monica and Joe Stergios of Enterprise Fleet Management will discuss how they evaluated the economic and environmental benefits of AFVs for their fleet operations.
How to Do It Right
They will also discuss how to select the right equipment and fuel options, secure funding and tax credits, and maintain and operate equipment safely and cost-effectively.
The Santa Monica municipal fleet is comprised of 85% AFVs, including electric, propane, compressed natural gas, hydrogen and biodiesel vehicles. Sikes brings 25 years of fleet management experience to the first ACT Expo webinar. Read more and register here.
