Who: CleanFUEL USA,
an industry leader in propane autogas
technology
When: September 15-17,
2014
Where: Booth #938, BusCon Expo, Indiana Convention
Center, Indianapolis, IN
What: Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) introduced the propane
autogas version of its S2 chassis for the work truck market earlier this year.
At BusCon Expo this week, FCCC will demonstrate the chassis’ capabilities for
additional applications, including the shuttle and commercial bus markets, with
its display of the propane autogas S2C concept in booth #938. Also
featured in the FCCC booth will be a CleanFUEL USA PRO 6100 propane autogas refueling dispenser.
The S2C concept offers the bus market a number of key features and
benefits, including: a quieter-running engine, reduced maintenance cost and
downtime, significantly reduced fuel costs for buses in continuous-running
applications, excellent cold-weather starting and faster warm-up times.
The S2C concept includes a factory-installed Liquid Propane Injection
system by CleanFUEL USA. The 60-gallon, between-the-rails, tank can provide a
range of up to 300 miles. The S2C is powered by PIthon, an 8.0 propane autogas
engine from Powertrain Integration, which will be on display in the Propane
Education and Research Council (PERC) booth #1139.
