CleanFuel USA; Bringing Out the Best in Fuel Technology
A recent invention is about to bring a revolution in the way fleet managers used to monitor and control fuel transactions. This invention has been carried out by one of the largest fuel management systems suppliers from USA, the CleanFuel.
By the implementation of this fuel management system, fuel monitoring will be made simpler and much economical. This new system will allow real time monitoring of fuel and will be able to connect with numerous points online as well. Automated logs can be saved, downloaded or emailed having complete reports about fuel dispatch. Remote access of fuel tanks and dispensers has been never been so easy before.
Curtis Donaldson, who is the founder of CleanFuel, USA, explains this technology as an economical and innovative approach to fuel management which comprises of state of the art software technology the world of fuel management has ever seen.
This latest fuel management system has some of the most promising features which are listed below:

The P7100 dispenser is the first CleanFUEL USA dispenser delivered that includes eCONNECT, the propane autogas industry’s first complete fuel network management system for electronic dispensers. The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) generously donated propane-powered off-road and stationary equipment, including the CleanFUEL USA dispenser, totaling more than $62,000.
"Shipping our first eCONNECT dispenser is an important milestone for us, and we are thrilled that Mammoth Cave will be able to implement it right away to experience significant efficiency strides in fuel management," said Curtis Donaldson, founder and managing partner.
eCONNECT allows fleet managers and site operators to economically monitor and control fuel inventories faster and easier than ever before with real-time data insight, flexible report storage and remote access capabilities.
MCNP’s efforts in sustainability began in the late 1990’s when they partnered with the Kentucky Clean Fuels Coalition (KCFC), a Clean Cities Coalition partner. KCFC was instrumental in cultivating MCNP’s relationship with PERC.

PERC Promotes Clean Propane 'On Campus'
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Propane Education & Research Council announces its new membership in the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, an association of colleges and universities working to create a more sustainable world. Through membership in AASHE, PERC will inform higher education institutions on the benefits of using clean, low-emission propane equipment as part of their sustainability initiatives.
“Propane is the leading alternative fuel in the U.S. and helps thousands of businesses, fleets, contractors, and consumers meet their economic and environmental goals,” said Roy Willis, PERC CEO and president. “We want to help bring the same fuel-efficient technologies to campuses through equipment demonstrations, incentives, and educational programs that will help AASHE members significantly reduce their carbon footprint and save money.”
AASHE enables colleges and universities to meet their sustainability goals by providing specialized resources, professional development, and a network for sharing information. Many AASHE resources are free to the public, and its programs help support the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment. ACUPCC institutions sign a commitment promising to lead their institutions toward climate neutrality. There are over 650 ACUPCC signatories and over 800 AASHE members, to-date.
“AASHE counts on the support of many innovative organizations, such as PERC, to fulfill our mission of creating a cleaner, greener and more sustainable planet, starting with college campuses,” said Stephanie A. Herrera, AASHE executive director. “AASHE business members support the sustainability movement by providing valuable products, services and resources to help move this vital community towards a better future.”
Through its AASHE membership, PERC plans to help campuses identify opportunities to convert gasoline- or diesel-fueled equipment to propane, including lawn mowers, vehicles, buses, and generators. According to Willis, the simple act of spec’ing alternative fuels like propane into contracts versus conventional fuels can make a big impact.
“The simple switch from a gasoline-powered mower to propane can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 20 percent,” Willis said. “And that’s just one example – propane offers significant GHG and emission reductions in vehicles and other applications, too.” Read more here.

Propane Days Sets Record; Sneak Peek of the Recap Video
CleanFUEL USA was happy to once again participate in Propane Days this past June. The 10th anniversary of Propane Days brought more than 250 propane industry members to Washington, DC. When they converged on Capitol Hill, Members of Congress and staffers were ready to meet with them, specifically to discuss the winter of 2013-2014 and what Congress can do to help. The results are in and these meetings paved the way for NPGA to work with a bi-partisan group of Senators and Congressmen to craft legislation that will help the propane industry as we adapt to America's changing energy landscape.

Webinar: Propane fueling station costs
Clean Cities has been working closely with the propane industry to create a report on the Costs Associated with Propane Vehicle Fueling Infrastructure. This document provides an overview of the components of a station, factors that can affect the cost, and ballpark cost ranges. Look for the release of this document in early August.
Also, save the date for a Clean Cities Propane Infrastructure webinar on August 12th from 1-2:30pm ET. Curtis Donaldson from CleanFUEL USA will present an overview of the key components of a propane station, how a propane station works, and factors that affect the cost. Ron Latko, retired Mesa Public Schools Director of Transportation and current independent consultant, will share his experience bringing 90 propane school buses to the fleet. Ron oversaw the design and installation of three propane fueling stations and many fleets can benefit from hearing about his success. During this webinar, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the presentations as well as the content of the related propane infrastructure document.
